Telstra now blocking scam texts in the network – Security – Telco/ISP
Telstra is battling back again from the rise of rip-off texts by blocking them at the network stage.
According to a blog put up authored by CEO Andy Penn, the rip-off filter – component of Telstra’s ‘cleaner pipes’ initiative – is made to reduce theft of own information like banking logins, block the unfold of malware, and protect against consumers passing infections on to their own contacts.
“We know the selection of rip-off textual content messages on our community is on the rise – in 2021 we had a lot more than 11,000 experiences of destructive texts to Android gadgets in comparison to 50 studies in 2020,” Penn wrote.
