Upper Peninsula Student Awarded Impact Scholarship

Kalle Keranen, a senior at Westwood Significant University in Ishpeming, has been named the recipient
of Michigan Technological University’s complete-tuition 2022 Effects Scholarship.

The competitive award is offered out annually to future pupils pursuing majors
inside of the University of Business at Michigan Tech. Finalists from Michigan, Minnesota
and Wisconsin had been invited to participate in management pursuits on campus and acquired

business professors who ended up so welcoming and passionate, I realized I preferred to pursue
business at Michigan Tech,” she stated.

Keranen can already imagine her ambitions right after college or university. “My dream career is to be a
