Talking Brains, Hardware, and Privacy With Facebook’s Andrew Bosworth
Facebook does not have the best track history when it arrives to retaining user details personal. So when it unveiled a couple months ago that it was doing the job on a prototype wearable computer that would interpret neuroelectrical indicators, people today had inquiries. The wearable—still really significantly just a concept—is intended to be worn on the wrist, in which it could go through a wearer’s nerve indicators as a result of their skin and translate them into gadget commands. It’s an thought straight out of sci-fi, and 1 that could actually be practical in VR and AR applications. But why is Facebook, with its large application portfolio, doing the job on hardware like this in earnest? How significantly far more “connected” must we all be to Facebook applications? And must we have faith in the corporation to cope with our details responsibly?
