Phi Kappa Tau Repeats as Statues Champ
The winners have been introduced in the Snow Statue Levels of competition at Michigan Technological
University’s Winter Carnival. This year’s concept is “Discover What Shines from Prehistoric
Times.”
For the third time in the previous 4 many years, Phi Kappa Tau was the in general winner of
the thirty day period-long snow statue competition. Their statue “Dongson Fishing Village” is
situated outside of the fraternity property in Hancock.
There were a few divisions in the thirty day period-long competition—men, girls and co-ed. Prizes

followed by Sigma Phi Epsilon and Delta Phi Epsilon for “Caveman Around a Hearth with
Tools, Crafts and Cave Paintings,” when third area went to Delta Zeta and Triangle
for “Ice Age.”
Alpha Sigma Tau was the lone entry in the Women’s Division with “Jurassic Park.”
In the all-nighter statue competition, St. Albert the Great College Parish captured
their fourth-straight in general victory as well as successful the Co-ed Division. Next
area in general and in Co-ed went to Pavlis Honors School for “Dig Site of Dinosaur
Bones.” Lutheran Campus Ministry ELCA took third area in each divisions with “The
Golden Ratio.”
In the Men’s Division, the Culture of American Foresters took initial area with “Lake
Sturgeon,” followed by the Culture of African American Gentlemen for “Dino Egg,” and Mama’s
Boys (East McNair 4th Flooring) finished third with “Dig Site”.
The Culture of Females Engineers won the Women’s Division group for the statue “Cave”.
